Puzzles & Paradoxes

Course Description: The course provides an overview of a number of famous puzzles and paradoxes and important attempts to solve them. The puzzles we will discuss come from logic, probability, statistics, game theory, and set theory; many of these puzzles highlight peculiar features of mathematical infinity.  This course fulfills the university's Symbolic and Mathematical Reasoning (SMR-AS) requirement.
