Puzzles & Paradoxes

Course Description: The course provides an overview of a number of famous puzzles and paradoxes and important attempts to solve them. Among the paradoxes that may be discussed are Zeno’s paradoxes of space, time and motion; related paradoxes of continuity; the Liar paradox and Russell’s set-theoretic paradox; paradoxes of infinity; and various paradoxes of probability and game theory.
